I could remember while growing up, back then in high school (secondary school), we were taught Number system. We did different operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division on base 10.
However, when we came to base 2 (binary) arithmetic, it was cleverly streamlined to just addition, subtraction and multiplication leaving division unattended.
I didn't quite take note of this mishap, not until recently when I encountered a problem relating to binary division. I try consulting different textbooks and to my surprise, they didn't treat binary division. My only saving grace was the internet.
So this is me wondering if it is a norm for binary division to be avoided in high school curriculum.
