HOW VEGANS SAVES OUR ENVIRONMENT

Hi @kryzsec ,

I do appreciate your comments.

Here is my take:

More is wrong in this post too, I just wanted to clear this up for future readers.

I debunk the above claim you made.

From what you also stated:

Many sources, when doing quick fact checking state differently.

I am aware that many source state differently because i do research on every science article i post or tutor people on. Different sources with different percentage rate. What i did was to sum up all values from 12 different sources and i took an average of all 12 values gotten.

Check out an alarming source here and tell me if I'm wrong.

That is why i stated;

Scientifically it's proven that animal agriculture accounts for an average of 50% of global green house gases emitted into the environment causing global warming. Global warming has the following negative effects;

So therefore my findings isn't wrong and I'm not giving false information to future readers.

Point 2:

There are numerous sources stating that plants (crops) releases methane green house gas, which is false.

See source

The reason is because green house gas are only emitted from organic soils of which plants are cultivated with.

Though plant produces carbon dioxide as a green house gas during respiration but there is a equilibrium effect because these carbon dioxide are reused for photosynthesis and other food production process by plant.

I have been in the field of science for 5 years now with specialisation in Zoology and Botany, so therefore i totally don't agree with you comment. I can defend my statement any time at anywhere.

I do appreciate your input and i hope to hear from you soon based on my take.

Regards!

I had some reservation, just like @kryzsec at the high percentage you quoted, but I think you made a convincing argument, but the truth is I do not feel that it is that high. We all love to have a better environment but saying non-vegan activities contribute to such a high percentage of greenhouse gas emission is pretty alarming or should I say not-so-accurate. While we have electricity, transportation, who are the major contributors to greenhouse gas emission, sharing a miserly 50% with other sectors. This report has it as a quarter of the total emission. The discussion is one that I like, and I would like for me to be wrong. Good article anyways.

Note
1: I saw some links that state that it is as high as 50%, but none has any credible data/source to back it up.

2: Do not take any contrary opinion as a slight on your person or someone challenging your authority/expertise on a subject. That is why every genuine article is reviewed by peers before it can be taken as a verified scientific work.

I am all for a greener planet. Peace.

I do appreciate your comment @greenrun .

Your note is well noted by me.

I cant say the statistics given is wrong but i would agree it's not so accurate.

At least i might not be perfect. That's why at all point science has to be verified to be widely accepted. I did enjoy the opinion of @kryzsec and yours.

At least i have learned something from this.

Cheers.
