The Midway Narration
NARRATOR: Giovanni meets with the King to discuss his studies while Annabella looks on, fondly consumed by their conversation and secretly relishing the deeper truth within—the truth of her secret affairs with her brother, Giovanni, with whom she remains enamored, as the two sneak fleeting glances with the king amidst their presence. The two siblings are paramours, having copulated for hours on end in the King's princely chambers.
Their fleeting glances betray a sinful guilt as they recognize the ghastly nature of their deeds.
What will happen? Well, you’ll just have to wait and see. For now we are having a break. It’s time to grab yourself a drink, or let your last drink expel from the other end.
Then we can come back and find out what trouble these two can get into, eh?
