The Morality Crisis

Stefan Molyneaux and Denis Prager discuss the Morlaity Crisis.
If there is no god - ethics are subjective. Murder is only wrong by feelings in the abscense of certainty. We do not want to face reality in the age of feelings. Consider in the abscense of moral certainty: Is human life more important than an animals? If one has to die do you choose your dog or a stranger? With religious ethics you would unequivocally choose the dog to die. In moral and subjective uncertainty you will keep the dog you know and love over the stranger you have never met to die.

Robert Garrad There are 0.07% of Atheists in the federal prisons in the u.s that must mean the rest have a religion? So how ever it is dressed up Christians have no more morals than any body else. And we do not need a god to know what is right and wrong, I had no issues as a child knowing what was right and wrong. And how would a belief in god make it any better, genocide, slavery, rape, murder, incest, can all be found in the bible. And what about all the child raping Catholic priests do they have a god to believe in and morals to take from it?.

Stephen Ford Where does your perception of right and wrong come from? What chance is there that everyone else thinks exactly what you think when it comes down to what is right? What is your solution to ensure a cohesive society with shared values if everyone has a different idea about what is right?

Robert Garrad How do i know what is right and wrong i think it is a natural sense we are born with. I think the big picture is we do not all have a different idea of what is right and wrong i think most people are on the same page. If you need a God to help you decide what is right and wrong so be it, i do not. Did you get why i made the statements on my last post? the guys in the video are going on about how we need God to put the capital in wrong yet 99% of prisoners in the U.S are christians? did they not get the memo? Every Atheist i know are as kind and thoughtful as any christian is meant to be the only difference between us is they believe in God and i believe in science and we all think we are right.

Stephen Ford Do you think this is universal? Can someone come from anywhere else in the world - abandon their cultural and racial beliefs and accept your version of right and wrong through some kind of osmosis, or do they need guidance? If so, from where should this guidance come? If they don't accept your your version of right and wrong do you think you could work with them within a functioning society?
