So i want to design a community based sticker series which will work kind of like a monthly subscription service.
I will poll the community at the start of each month for sticker designs they would like to see, then i will work on creating the images voted on the most throughout the rest of the month.
then throughout the month i will hold a pre-sale for the stickers and depending on the amount of pre-sales we get i will upgrade sizes and complexity of the sticker cut.
at the end of the month with the pre-sales in hand i will send off the designs to a print shop then send them out to all those that ordered while starting all over again for the next month.
there will be 3 price points that all include shipping(US sales only)
Mini sticker order.
$5 usd worth of steem/sbd =2 stickers(size/cut determined by pre-sale volume)
Regular sticker order.
$15 usd worth of steem/sbd =10 stickers(size/cut determined by pre-sale volume)
Large sticker order.
$25 usd worth of steem/sbd =20 stickers(size/cut determined by pre-sale volume)
i will be designing up to 6 different stickers each month and how many are created for a particular month will be determined by a design idea pool that will hold an undetermined amount of design ideas until they are voted to the top.
To start with i want you to comment up to 3 designs ideas you would like to be made in a sticker. these can be text, images or a combination. feel free to write out in as much or little detail as possible.
when i get around 20 design ideas i will post a list for people to vote on their favorite designs.
to start with the 1st design to reach 25 votes will become the 1st sticker design i create. then i will take the remaining list remove any that did not get any votes and if at least 5 are removed i will hold another design idea post to gain 5 more designs and start the cycle again.
i reserve the right to veto a design if it gets to the top and does not meet some basic moral standards. other than that feel free to offer up any design idea you like.
i just want to put it out there that the 1st few times i do this the total length of time from 1st design poll to stickers in your hand could be upwards of 2 months. obviously this will greatly depend on how quickly people vote and comment on designs.
the breakdown of time goes as such
holding design idea and design polls rinse and repeat until 6 designs are picked or 25-30 days are up.
in between that time if the time is long enough i will be designing those stickers in the order they come and promoting the pre-sale all throughout the month(once 1st sticker has been created)
in theory by the time the 25 day mark comes around i will have at least 5 designs finished(if that many have been voted on to desired goals)
then i finish up the pre-sale campaign with possibly a 6th design being finished in the process.
once pre-sale time ends(not more than 1 week after the 1 month mark) i will send off the designs and hopefully have them in my hands 7-10 days after that.
once they are there and all addresses are confirmed then i will start shipping the stickers out to everyone that ordered and they will arrive 3-7 days later.
Worst case scenario all of the above takes me 54 days start to finish.
best case scenario(37 days) i have 6 designs voted on within the 1st week of new month batch(highly unlikely) i start designing the stickers soon as the 1st has been determined and finish by week 2 i campaign for a week after that send the designs in to be printed. they get back to me in a week and you receive your stickers in the mail after 37 days start to finish.
I don't intend on cutting off design idea unless they gain 0 traction or the list becomes to long(say no more than 50 ideas) so each time i throw out a new poll i will be adding onto an existing list. this should lead to designs being picked a little faster(but i may increase the amount of votes required when needed) each poll should in theory have equal chance for a design to be picked as long as people continue to vote on the ones they like.
I hope you all can contribute something to this little project and lets see where it leads us =D

i haven't entirely figured out the pricing it would take for that but i know it would cost extra on top of the prices above.
basically what im shipping out with this is a large letter envelope that can hold upwards of 20 stickers with some cardboard inserts to keep things from bending to much.
