We may not bring any of your neighbor’s relatives into his house and force them to work as slaves because they are married to him. Using an Israelite as a slave would be a violation of God’s rules. Leviticus 25:44–46: The Israelites were taught that they had been not permitted to buy slaves from other nations. Any slaves they bought had been stolen or sold by other persons or families within their own country. If a person is determined to have broken these guidelines, he may face the death penalty. Exodus 21:16: Both the kidnapper and the victim may be put to death if they were found guilty of kidnapping another person in order to sell them into slavery.
Genesis 1:29–30
So God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the entire planet, as well as every tree with seed in its fruit.” They’ll be yours to eat. And I give every green plant for food to all beasts of the land, all birds of the air, and all creatures that move on the ground — everything that has the breath of life in it. That was the case. One theory suggests that cannabis may have been cultivated as early as 10,000 BC alongside einkorn wheat in what is now modern Turkey. In addition to being a useful crop, cannabis also served as an important source of fiber used in textiles and rope. While hemp fibers were once used extensively throughout Europe and Asia for clothing, paper and cordage, hemp cultivation eventually declined due to competition from cheaper imported fibers such as jute and cotton. Although laws vary state-by-state in America, growing industrial hemp is legal under federal law if grown under certain parameters set forth by Congress.
