Somewhere in the world, in an amusement park, a row of onlookers in front of a huge, closed cage, looks inside through a small hole. Above, a sign says: "Observe the most dangerous beast. Kill for killing, cruelly, and without hunger. It has exterminated thousands of species, and is also the most dangerous for itself." When looking through the opening, a set of mirrors and cameras that connect with the outside reflect the same viewer, at the moment of wanting to discover the specimen of the most dangerous species.

As a species, we do not have a resume, but a file. We have exterminated thousands of species, and now we do it at a rate of one every twenty minutes. We imprison, we kill, we torture, without any justification. And we have created concentration camps for our other brothers the animals. They are called zoos. There are the condemned of the earth, those who have committed the crime of not being born human, locked up to feed our pride.

And there, from time to time we commit other crimes. Recently, in a zoo in the US, a child fell into a gorilla's den. The video shows the surprise and, later, the gestures of the primate protecting the child. But the protocol of the zoo contemplated the fatal shots against the animal. And the gorilla, known as the noble giant, who only feeds on leaves, was killed.

Around the same time, in Chile, a young man entered the cage of three lions, shouting that he was Jesus Christ and that no one could harm him. He undressed for four minutes, and none of the lions attacked him. He hung on the neck of the male lion, and he dragged him to a corner. At that moment, the guards launched powerful jets of water. A lioness hid and immediately the two remaining lions were shot dead. Another shameful victory.

At the beginning of the 20th century, in Guayaquil, a military acquaintance took his family to the zoo. In a cage, Sunday, 10 o'clock in the morning, a solitary monk, solitary way, self-congratulated. Nervous laughs, jokes, comments about it, outraged the military man who saw the dignity of his family compromised. He left the place and organized a military patrol that, under his command, returned and strafed the monkey so that he would not continue to sin in public, especially in front of his modest and chaste family.

Someone already said it: Animals live in a hell in which we, humans, are their demons.

In chess the idea is also to lock up, torment and kill the other. The difference is that it is always resurrected more intelligently.
