Have you heard about StorX? I wouldn't be surprised if you haven't heard of it, after all, they are only number 3000 or something like that on CoinMarketCap and it is a small project yet. Their goal, like many other cryptoprojects, is to create a good solution for cloud storage, in which files are shared between different clouds, thus securing and protecting your data, while keeping it all decentralized and not in the hands of one company.
And with SRX (StorX) you can also create a node and receive tokens as a gift for doing so. The thing is, when you create a node, you are giving away a location that StorX can use to store files. The best solution for this is to use a VPS, meaning that you do not store them locally on a computer of yours, but instead, you have a virtual server somewhere that deals with that job and that is up and working all day long.
But, how long time does it take to get an SRX registered?
When I registered my own node, it took me approximately 24 hours. I believe the process was even quicker earlier, but in order to reach a reputation of ten which is required to get your node registered, you will have to wait for a while.
In my case, it was about 24 hours, but someone has also told me that they had to wait for a much longer period of time, while others didn't have to wait for that long at all.
