Nicaragua Crisis Update June 4th, 2018.

You are in our hearts and minds and we are praying for you, @cecicastor. It's good to hear that Daniel was able to get his surgery and he's in better hands with you and your colloidal silver bottle than at the hospital, that's for sure!

Hope for the new baby tomorrow. Hope that there's some movement on the news lockdown and that there will be help soon. We feel pretty helpless over here knowing that you're in such trouble and not having a good way to help...

I need to drive into Leon to the hospital with our little mama. She is in labour and needs to be there soon. She was there yesterday and they sent her home! She needs a C-section otherwise we would deliver the baby here. We will be accompanied by two large men with arms. I am not comfortable with them but I won't go without them as we don't know what we will encounter. Extra prayers would be helpful. Thanks.

I am praying now. What a time to be having a baby! And yet if many of our ancestors didn't have this kind of courage, none of us would be here.

Not a good time. They sent her home today and told her to wait another three weeks!

Oh for goodness' sake...you can't tell a mother IN LABOR to wait three weeks?!?!

Who DOES THAT?

Praying for all of you, especially Elliot with the gunshot wound and your Little Mama. How is the boy with the propeller injury?

Daniel is doing really well with the homemade remedies and his colour has finally returned. He was pasty looking earlier. Elliot is at his mother's house in Managua. It is the only place he could safely travel to since the blockades have doubled up. Poor mama is terrified with reason. She is not alone and we're hoping that the last c-section she had was just for the doctor's convenience and not for something serious. We have actually considered getting the vet to come and do an ultrasound! At least he is better equipped than the hospital...

So you don't know if this current pregnancy is in trouble other than that she has had a previous C-section? In other words, she was looking at necessary C-section because of previous events but not current ones?

If this is the case, I may be able to funnel information from my very experienced midwife (25 years delivering babies) in the event you are not able to get to someone for the delivery.

VBACs are now being actively discouraged because of a whole variety of reasons like insurance problems but my midwife does them and it is truly a real possibility to do safely. I have a good friend who had six natural births after three back-to-back C-sections in four years. So if this situation continues, there is hope.

I pray for a safe delivery. We don't think the baby has turned. We do have an option of a vet who has an ultrasound machine, so at least we would know for sure.

Would it be helpful to get you in touch with a midwife?

Were you able to stop the labor? Try another Hospital!

Can't stop the labour. Have to wait for the blockades to open a little for us to pass and I have someone in Leon looking for a doctor willing to do a c-section...

Rats! I was hoping they gave her something to shut things down! With her in labor, how could they let her leave?

It's just not their problem...

Disgusting! It is a Baby, for GOD's sake! No one could be more innocent than this! There must be a special corner in Hell....
