America is quite diverse. It's like many different countries and you have to deal with each city separately.
Power is like the seed. Within her, are all the growth, all the great 'Iroko' trees; their leaves, boughs, branches not excluding the newer seeds. In her is the greatness of a people, a community and their generative future, if any.
Before America, Britain had the most progressive power allocation and trade business in the civilized world, and not too un-incidentally, was the world's greatest power in her glory days. British power aggregation, allocation and trade were so architected it was a loose cartel of power dukes, lords, the royal court and her aristocracy. To renew, the British court every now and then admitted concessionaires, that is the exceptionally brilliant, who were born poor and in peasantry. This is the source of the lower peerages, especially in the trades. And one may then take pride that one's fathers were gunsmiths, assassins, lawyers, QCs even fools to the Queen.
America met and inherited this old Europe, not excluding those of the British, which was Europe's flag bearer, in enlightened and enlightening power grid, structures, distribution and allocation. The British political power model was a formal and loose power cartel and trade.
All America did to be great is to democratize power further, all aggressively, all pervasively. America is the first modern nation built on the compassion that we are all one people and equal, at least for their whites in the first instance. It was this power motherboard of citizen equality that drove America to give the first universal and free education ever in human history. The very logic of free education is to educate the free, not the slaves, to educate as to consolidate the citizenry unto ungraded equality and citizenship.
America is a federation of geographies, of states, but a confederation of powers, of citizens. To be compassionate is not just to be godly it is also to be enlightened. How prosperous, how scientific and finally how strong a community may be is fixed by her political power grid and allocation. How that power is gathered and architected to have the greatest powers granted the greatest numbers, not just the greatest happiness of the greatest numbers, is what makes a country, is what makes America, the greatest of powers on earth.
So,to be great,to be prosperous, to be corruption free country, to have youth employment, all lies in the nature of our power architecture and allocation. Perhaps America is truly the daughter of Europe as one of her presidents said. And she was a wise daughter at that. Presently, modern Europe which started as dictatorships or tyrannies, have historically evolved to the American ideals.
