hi friends steemian meet me again @khairuddin08. this time I will tell you a little old bike story that stuck in the tree.
bike goes into the tree trunk has been a viral conversation since a year ago. The photo title "Bicycle eaten by a tree" may be more familiar to many people. When we first saw, we must have laughed at the unusual appearance. However, many people wondered how the bike could be eaten by a tree.Based on the story in circulation, there is a conjecture that the owner did not take his bicycle back for going to war. According to the series of stories, the owner then died on the battlefield and did not return.Until finally the bike was chained in a tree and used as a memorial sign to commemorate the services of the child. Apparently not a few people who believe the story.
Apparently there is a true story behind it that no one knows. Reporting on The Vintage News, Wednesday (21/2/2018), a bike that enters the branch of a tree made since 1950, and owned an 8-year-old boy. The boy's name is Don Puz who is now retired to the King County Sheriff Deputy.
The little Don who lives in King County gets a lot of donations his family gets. She lives with her four siblings and a mother who raises her children alone.
One of the donations, there is a bike that suits him. Although the bike looked good for him, Don did not like the bike.I never liked the bike, because it looked like a tricycle, only with two wheels. The bike has a hard rubber tire and a skinny little handlebars, "Don said, when interviewed by The Seattle Times.
After that, little Don along with his family had moved to Vashon Island, Washington. It turned out to be a new residence area, making him and his brother very fond of playing.
When in the middle of 1950, Don was busy playing in the swamp until he forgot that he came home by leaving his bike.
Without thinking to take it back, Don finally left the bike for a long time. Since 1995, Don has visited his brother who lives in the marshy area. When asked around, Don saw his bike was stuck in a tree trunk.
"The first sentence that came out of my mouth was 'It's my bike'," he replied. No doubt after seeing that, Don still remembers it. In fact, after so long not meeting the bike, Don still put a sense of dislike of his old bike.
Even so, Don feels that he is not the owner of the bike anymore because it has been in the waste for a long time. Therefore, he feels the tree is more precisely his old bike now.
Many people are still curious about the bike that can enter the tree branch. According to Professor Elizabeth Van Volkenburgh of the University of Washington Department of Biology, the bike was initially heavy for a young tree.
There was a great possibility when the tree grew old and bigger, the plant finally built a bicycle inside the branch.
Right now, Don's old bike has become a tourist attraction. The locals also tried to preserve the old bike by replacing the missing parts.
That is all and thank you..
