Why We Burp When Drinking Soda?

After drinking soda, soon we will burp. However, what actually triggers the burp before?

In the news Live Strong, Tuesday (3/10/2017), it is said that belching after drinking soda is a marker mechanism of the body is working to release excess gas in our digestive system.

When we swallow food or drink, it is not just food or water that goes into the body. Some air containing nitrogen and oxygen also come into the body.

Well, some drinks including soft drinks, also contain carbon dioxide. This is what causes us to burp
