Story Of Alake { The Wayward Girl } Part I

{Sighs heavily}. Everytime in deep thoughtful mood I imagine the pain of motherhood, I’d never cease to imagine the sorrow that looms in a father’s heart to see their girl become a night crawler. But the reverse is the case in my country as it has become a lucrative job, yeah exactly lucrative job I said.

Well before we go into the story of Alake the queen of waywardness, I’d love us to share some values in thought as to what and why immorality has become a career to our youths, the so called future leaders. Talking about this pleases my heart to use my country as a case study.

You see when I was a child , I remember being asked this particular question “What would you love to be in future?” and so was everyone else asked this same question and the answers normally are the nice type of jobs. No one wants to be the ones considered to be bad jobs.

Higher percentage of people in the world today aren’t what they wish to be, individuals grew up pursuing a particular goal which most had been lucky to be what they wanted to be. Luck as a wise man once said is preparation meets opportunity, this simply means those ones had prepared.

But the truth is that, everyone actually prepared but most lost focus, changed directions and got lost when their dreams aren’t coming to reality as quick as they expect it. They failed to be consistent, they failed to persevere, they failed to realize every single failure is an opportunity to start over again.

So was the case of Alake, a beautiful maiden who got it all wrong. She’s a complete description of beauty without brain as you’d get to see in the story of this covetous young lady. All who knew her pitied her unfortunate life as they watched her walked towards ruins after she had ignored all advices.

Alake like every other human, was brought into this world by the union between a man and a woman, her’s was Mr and Mrs Kapo in the early 90’s. The union was fruitless for several years which had given rise to the suggestion of having a second wife by family and friends until their waiting period expired and finally had a baby girl.

Cute and beautiful, she was a baby adored by all with cheeks always spreading with smiles, small little dimples, healthy and always friendly. A popular adage says : A child that would be smart, would not be a dullard as a toddler. This was the case of baby Alake as she was a box of beauty.
