Crackhead Tales 1 (Microfiction series)

in story •  8 years ago  (edited)

A crackhead once sent me in to a store for a can of Coke, baking powder, and a Dixie cup.

I had no idea what a Dixie cup was at the time.

I knew the can was to make an ash pipe with.

I knew the baking soda was to cook the powder.

So I went and got what he needed, so he could smoke his drugs.

He emptied the Coke into the Dixie cup, cooked the cocaine with the baking soda, and then put the rocks on the can. His pipe was made and he was ready to smoke up.

Then he handed me the pop, and said, "here son, drink up!"

...

That man was my father.

...

If you didn't understand the last part, then let me explain it for you.

You see, my father did not hand me the Dixie cup with the Coca Cola in it.

Oh, no. No, he didn't.

Instead, my father handed me the Coca Cola can ...

What a man.
