"The Wrecked Cottage" - Art of Prompt Writing Contest #5

Through the woods, in the Eastern India, you will find numerous tribal villages living a monotonous life. Men and Women work hard to meet there edges, living in small cottages made up of wood and mud.

This is about one such cottage or a mere shack where no one lives. Placed in small village 'lowabaar', next to hillside right under the serene beauty of nature, the view is impeccable. A lonely villages where finding life is mere dream, a well maintained cottage is surprising,hard thing to believe that such cottage still exits.
On bit investigating we found that an old man in 80's named Shyamlal living in that cottage, and is taking care of it. However, an old person in a lonely village raises a question of suspicion. He use to roam here and there whole day and cooking fake stories whosoever comes near to the cottage, or near the hillside.
There were number of saying going on in that area, some use to believe that the cottage is visage of Divine soul and some believes that it is the resting place of Demons. The old man also used to tell numerous haunted stories to keep the people away from the cottage. As per him the cottage is cursed by one of the old lady who sacrificed her 2 children for the sake of demons. But why Shyamlal still residing in that place? why no one does harm to him? These question keep everyone guessing....

The suspense and suspicion grew stronger, when one afternoon, one passerby noticed the old man dead body in the balcony's chair in pool of blood. Shyamlal was stabbed multiple times and was dead, and calls for an investigation.
The probing oficers comes to the murder scene by evening for investigation, initially they were also reluctant to enter the house beliving on the demons story.
Next day they arrive in morning to get the investigation done. They enter the house and found no clues. They went ahead towards courtyard and amazed to find a secret way down right from inside the house towards the hill side. Every officer was getting more suspicious, they bravely move forward towards the secret way down towards the forest alongside the hill side. In the forest they found an abandoned truck full of arms and ammunition. They also noticed group of people running towards the hill, might they have noticed the investigating team is nearing them.

The investigating officers runs after them and get hold of all of them. They confessed the killing of Shyamlal, However the truth which is more interesting was of the "Arms Mafia ", who is running there business through the cottage. Shyamalal was just there bait, who use to organise meeting into the cottage. As cottage is situated in a isolated land near the hill, it was the safe heaven to easily get away with the smuggling. As per the goons, Shaymlal started to ask for more share in the Deals, which resulted in his murder. It was because of his involvement he use to spread fake stories about the cottage to keep people away. He was acting like a mad man.

The story unfolded, and everyone get to know the secret behind the wrecked cottage.!!! Now cottage is still a vacant place and no one visit that place. The serene hill side beauty is still isolated.
