Mission almost impossible: Renew my certificate!!

in story •  7 years ago

March 8,2018.

4:30am: I get up and get ready to go and renew my card, (due a few months ago) early because you already know how we are in Venezuela, (lack of material for identification, the SAIME full of migrants, etc)

5:30am: They knock on the door, she is a friend with whom I had already set off the day before to go, we left for the bus stop with the fear of being robbed at that time, still not clear, the first bus passed by but it was full of people, we went up to the second one, nothing happened, we were not robbed, thank God! First level passed!

On the way, the bus goes out, we thought we'd never get there early, but... Wow!!! the bus has been turned on after two attempts, we continue and arrive at SAIME (Administrative Service of Identification Migration and Aliens), exactly at 6:00am.

We found a line that as the hours went by this was getting longer, we were number 9 or 10, perfect, we would leave the place early!!

8:00am The doors of the SAIME are opened and the guard leaves to give the information: Good morning, people whose ID card starts from 22 to 28 million please bring your birth certificate and two copies plus the copy of the ID card, the one of my friend starts at 21, does not need what I did not bring (26 begins my ID card).. I am lost, returning to look for my birth certificate means not getting my identity card!!

8:20am: I have exactly 15 minutes to go home and return home.

On the way to the hopeless and sad stop I see a grey Hilux coming, woww is my best friend, put the glass down and ask me'' Chama where are you going? I tell him to stop by my house and get in the car. Give me the line, I tell him.

In 10 minutes I was back with the missing document, the miracles if there are jajaja

8:30 I enter the saime and just at that moment the doors close, my friend is waiting for me, the room is full of young people and children IMPRESSIVE! looks like a college. The secretaries and all the staff with the best phones, the best shoes that are unbeatable in Venezuela.

After 4 FOUR hours they take my picture, I put my fingerprint and sign, VANESSA RODRIGUEZ, and they say to me:"Come in 3 months to see if it is ready"....
