Although the two Immigration Officers who were in front of the door had clear instructions not to allow the mysterious man to leave his hotel room, the following morning policemen discovered that he had disappeared. The only exit through which it could have escaped was the window, except that it had no external window sill and was on the 15th floor above a crowded street. The authorities started a search for the mysterious visitor across Tokyo, but eventually they had to quit their search. Man has never been seen again again.
If the story is true, it means that the mysterious visitor did not come from the past or the future, but was simply an uninvited traveler from a parallel universe very similar to ours.
