Prof.Dr.Emil Salim (born in Lahat, South Sumatra, June 8, 1930: 85 years old is an economist, intellectual, educator and politician of Indonesia Emil is also one of the few Indonesian figures who play an international role he is an environmentalist international leader who has received the Leader for the Living Planet Award and Worid Wide Fund WWF), the largest and most experienced independent conservation organization in the world, also the award of the Bue Planet Prize in 2006 from The Asahi Glass Foundation. Prior to that, in 1994, as State Minister for the Environment and Population Emil Salim was one of the nation's longest serving sons by becoming a minister and several other positions.
