How Does STRAT Tumblebit Work? I Think I Know.steemCreated with Sketch.

I started thinking about how Stratis Tumblebit privacy solution for Bitcoin might work. I got interested in Stratis, because as a long time Dash user, it is apparent that Stratis used some Dashcore source code for their staking system (which is a good thing for everybody, why source code is available for all developers on Github)

I have been watching the StratisX (Dashcore style staking wallet) and Breeze Github repositories for activity as I make my STRAT investment decisions. It appears that they have debugged the Tumblebit code in StratisX and are migrating the code to Breeze wallet for implementation.

So here is my guess on how Tumblebit works:

Two tiered staking node system
25K nodes used to stake mixing for STRAT much like the mixing feature in Dash
250K nodes used to stake mixing for BTC deposited to Breeze wallet (feature not available yet)

Once the mixing is completed, I believe Stratis uses their distributed ledger (since they have a fixed coin supply) to do something extra by internally exchanging STRAT/BTC back and forth for an added layer of privacy for both STRAT and BTC allowing Bitcoin users to have privacy features unavailable in Bitcore as SegWit and scaling implementation are getting under way.

I don't have the exact details of the source code, but this explains the reason for having two staking nodes, instead of one set of master nodes like Dashcore. That being said, it is a genius privacy algorithm that solves a major issue for Bitcoin users and I am ecstatic for the release of Breeze Wallet, scheduled to be out by June 30th.

Do not let StratisX current sync issues scare you away from investing in STRAT, it is genius technology and will soon be available.
