Hello....Steemian, May steemian be in good health and always on forever!
In this post, I want to share about "Street Children" which have been increasingly prevalent in big cities. This requires serious attention from both the community and the government itself. They need our helping hand.
Children are the successor generation of the ideals of the nation's struggle, which have a strategic role and special traits and characteristics that guarantee the continuity of the existence of the nation and state in the future. Therefore the potential of children needs to be developed as much as possible and they need to be protected from various acts of violence and discrimination so that children's rights can be guaranteed and fulfilled so that they can live, grow, develop, and participate optimally in accordance with their abilities, for the realization of Indonesian children quality, noble, and prosperous. Children need to be protected because they are very vulnerable and potentially become victims of violence and abuse of adults, protection is given so that they can become healthy and prosperous Indonesian children. Although the State has regulated in Law no. 23 of 2002 concerning "Child Protection", but it has not been fully implemented.
**( Those are some pictures of street children ) **
Street children in their daily lives have to work to help parents make a living in order to meet the needs of themselves and their families. Children like this can be seen on the streets as beggars, buskers, cigarette sellers, newspaper sellers, umbrella motorbikes, shoe polishers, parking attendants, conductors of intercity buses and other activities that should not be carried out by children on the grounds any.
Street children need education and help so that when they are adults they will not fall into a negative direction. Many factors cause children to take to the streets, the most fundamental factors are economic problems and also violence in the family. Shelter houses are one of the help that really helps the life of street children. Shelter houses can be a shelter and can also teach various skills to street children. The government should continue to be consistent in providing free education for street children so that they do not return to life on the streets and can improve their lives in the future. Making cheap schools and foster parents programs must also be encouraged to reduce the number of street children. Parents also give as much love and attention to their children as possible so that their children feel at home and not take to the streets.
Don't forget to be happy
