The teachings of Jesus: "The student is not above the teacher, nor a servant above his master."

Jesus gives us a spiritual teaching, of common sense, in the Gospel of Saint Matthew, "from such a stick such a splinter": "The student is not above the teacher, nor a servant above his master. It is enough for students to be like their teachers, and servants like their masters. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebul, how much more the members of his household!, Matthew 10:24-25

Like the splinter that comes from a stick, the disciple resembles his teacher and the servant his master. We resemble the people with whom we live, we learn through the models that are presented to us in life. In the Kingdom of God there are also relationships of likeness, the Kingdom of God is growth in values and spiritual gifts, and in this growth there is a transformation: "Jesus replied, ´Very truly I tell you, no one can see the Kingdom of God unless they are born again.´John 3:3.
In the Kingdom of God the teacher perseveres, the student imitates. The goal of spiritual life is likeness to God (God is the wisdom itself), but this likeness to God is achieved through progressive constancy (spiritual gift of fear of the Lord) and continuous improvement (spiritual gift of fortitude).
The kingdom of God is progressive, gradual, begins with small decisions, it is the yeast that makes the whole dough ferment (Matthew 13:33 and Luke 13:20-21). This is why Jesus describes the Kingdom of God by parables.
Jesus takes up this teaching in Matthew 23: 8-10: "But you are not to be called Master, for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. And do not called anyone on earth "father", for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah."
Jesus is the model of man in the doctrine of the Kingdom of God and in front of Jesus we are all brothers. Jesus is the "son of man" and the "son of God".
