i once ate those things when working on site for a callcenter (they called it "marketing research" but that was the only reason : it wasnt sales.) Those guys were shady as hell with leased sports cars driving around like they owned half the country and sitting up late at night "going over the results" (ahem ...)
but it was a nice place, considering where we come from here, pretty loose, underpaid no more or less than usual and since the guys were shady they didnt mind much either.
In the end they "forgot" to pay and the interim office claimed THEY werent responsible (despite the fact that you actually sign contract with the interim office, not the one they cater to) so we TEAMED UP and went overthere, locked the guy at his desk and didnt let him go until he wired the money)
if you live in gatland
do as gatland
(the french would abduct their CEOs and directors if things went south and there wasnt no jail to either ... its not THAT long ago i think)
but short : on that fair (like HUGE yaughts the winkelvossers would buy with in the other hall an adventure fair (for rich campers) there was a stand where they had all kinds of fried locust and these living crawling worm things, freezdried rainworm (ringworms?) and other good sources of protein inculding those huge worms that pop like beignets when you fry them.
it all tasted a bit like faint hazelnut if memory serves :)
different days, a different life
youd think it was a different country or dimension really

i heard something about the price of eggs this year
its the new bum-gold
....
i noticed last year Aldi had a small paper by the exit saying in small print :
"Some of our products (undefined number or which) have had their composition altered due to shifts in the supplies manufacturerers are using alternative recipes / methods. Please check carefully if you have any food allergies related. We are not responsible)
in more words but thats the giste
so everythings clearly back in balance, it just "shifted" :)
i never had mescal that i can think of but i knew someone who grew those cacti (and funghi on the windowpine) you hear about in movies ... and some stuff in the garden too, waaaaaaay back when
SO back when it wasnt a legal tolerance greyzone yet but SO back when that here in gatland everyone i knew smoked it but the cops had no clue about it.
at the risk of being old
life actually WAS more simple

you can define your day how you want, if you say morning is 2pm then it is ... if you work in shifts you kinda have to, my ex ex ex ex ... count timesx's brother did something called full-continu, 5 shifts
night-day-afternoon-morning-weekend, then they were home a few days , the guys definition of breakfast shifted and wasnt bound to conventions :)
same as when i was but i never did shifting shifts, mostly "just night" when i was able to (i mean ... cant have someone with no degree do jobs for degrees and all that its probably the same overthere but in the end its just as dead as sitting at a desk for 8 hours imo) also did that
