Well everyone, here we go... my first steem post, please don't make fun of it :). Any constructive feedback is much appreciated.
Over the past 5-6 years of my crypto journey, I've been wrestling with what is success? How do people accomplish success around the globe with different cultural contexts. There are many meanings of success because each person is so amazingly unique and beautiful, each person has a purpose and a meaning.
We live in a world that "success" is the accumulation of stuff, money and more pointless stuff. We're trained as a society to keep striving for the next promotion or degree but usually something doesn't still feel fulfilled. I say this cause I've been there and done that.
In the crypto world people derive success of a token to the USD or other fiat conversion, this is just as if not worse of a comparison to the meaning of success. The beauty of blockchain is it allows people to derive what they value and let our human values derive value.
So what does success mean to you?
What does life being "successful" look like?
Thanks for your feedback and blessed to be part of this community!!

I don't particularly want great wealth. If I can give my family a good like then that's enough. I think there's too much striving for what are seen as material indicators of success like a flash car or jewellery. TV and the media set bad examples. Health and happiness are more important. Those of us who have enough can also help others.
BTW I assume your image link didn't work. There's a tradition of doing an #IntroduceYourself post where you say who you are and provide some proof of your identity, e.g. a picture or video of yourself showing your Steemit name. It's not mandatory, but then nothing really is here.

Yeah, that is most peoples response that I have gotten on this journey. Health is a hugely important attribute to success imo, the food supply has been manipulated through the years. When you feel good about yourself your more likely to have the confidence to help others, theres nothing greater than helping others :)... of course my opinion.
Oo ok, I'll do that, oops thanks for teaching me the ropes!

Hi @missionsuccess, firstly, so glad you’re here and i enjoyed your first post and the question it raised. Im going to start with my feedback and answer your question in my opinion.
Steemit is a catalyst for growth of a persons self value. With other crypto alot do define it through the usd or other fiat true but for me my sp is much more valuable than the dollar value my account suggests, therefor something is uniquely different here than say when I first read the ethereum whitepaper, this value based community runs on intellect and sharing. One thing i think you should add to your blogs is some imagery and some hotlinks to the things your passionate about. Sharing your questions is valuable, but as is sharing your story or your goals.
I personally live in poverty, scraping by to make sure me and my family have our needs met, i cant justify hosting that money into crypto with regular buying, my way to be a part of this change is right here where my words can earn me my place. I hope that someday ubi’s like the one you lead can help people like myself cover our basic needs while still requiring more to be accomplished. Work ethic and self worth are directly tied to my value and the value of the people around me regardless as to whether or not they are haves or have nots. Our lives are what determine our success, not our wallets. Much love

@dizzyjay great to be connected brother! That is a big reason our team feels there is a lot potential with steem and manna, its about the community and the people who derive the value of the network. I'll go into more posts of other subjects but starting with success is a big one and we'll drill deeper into other meanings.
I tried to add a photo at the beginning and end but it just shared a link, I asked a veteran steemian how to add a photo so I'll do so next time, I hope I do it right and then I'll hopefully figure out how to add a video :).
I will do my best to support you brother, your kids got a good pops to look up too and thats extremely valuable as a ROI to society which is overlooked in our current set up.
Btw, you derived my next post after I do what @steevc mentioned for the #introduceyourself, this has already been an amazing journey to be part of and I am realizing, its just begun. This is a marathon were in, not a sprint to help change the world.
