RHINOCEROS DRAWING: endangered soon to be extinct

Rhinoceros are great and gentle animals. Sadly, the white rhinoceros are endangered. There are only three left in the world, two female and one male but the male Rhino named "Sudan" is too old to mate which leaves their species to a dead end once they all reach their life span.
Poachers and trophy hunters pay around $300,000 dollars or more to hunt Rhinoceros in the parks and plains of Africa.
Black Rhinos may be more in number but with an average of one rhino being killed for its horns ever six hours everyday their species will not last against humans.
this is too ridiculous that people would rather have a horn of a dead rhino on display in their living room rather than have it attached to the Rhino and alive where it should be.
This caused me to emotionally distraught for about two weeks and I decided to draw an endangered/hunted species tribute to animals.

So here is my drawing. I used graphite pencil on 12" x 16" sketch pad paper (textured paper)
I drew the rhinos first then the grass, shading it and smudging patches of dark shades on the paper and erasing it with kneaded eraser or clay like eraser and using a mechanical eraser to creat light streaks so its easier. much like drawing with an eraser.
I love these majestic beasts. If only there was a way to preserve them. I can only reach out to people with my art. I hope people will love them more!
