Why were the disciples sleeping under the Rabbi's bed? (This isn't a joke!)

Jesus didn't make up discipleship. There were lots of rabbis and disciples. What he did do was invite people into a rabbi-disciple relationship, and he's still doing it! What if learning about the Jewish way of discipleship could help you understand that relationship better? Here's a charming little example.
