We are here to present our summary for the second week of SEC20.

Firstly, we are very thankful to the Steemit Team, who honored us with this opportunity. Secondly, we are thankful to our students who attended our class enthusiastically. I'm sure they have learned a lot in the hematology course. The good thing is that we received 29 entries this week. This shows the enthusiasm of Steemians.

We hope you are enjoying our third week of class as well.

Our second class was about Hemoglobina - Modulo 2. In this course, students learned about hemoglobin, structure and types of hemoglobin.

In this way, we tried to learn our students about the fact that its structure is fixed, but with certain variations, they also learned that hemoglobin S is the cause of an important type of anemia that causes deformation in the red cell by replacement of a certain amino acid in the peptide chain.

They learned about the death of Rafael Rangel. Students mentioned the life of the researcher Rafael Rangel. The most canonical thing in his story is that he thought he was not going to be recognized for one of his most important investigations, something that for him turned out to be very overwhelming (in addition to the scholarship, of course)

They learned how automatic hematocritis is different from manual hematocrite. They learned the manual hematocrit is actually used for quality control, at least 2 patients a day should be checked by this method.

Therefore, all laboratories should provide equipment to perform both methods, not just one. Quiz work was also an important part of the homework assignment tasks, and we are glad to see that it was enjoyed.

Lastly, there was a real life example provided in the class. The student gave us different examples of hematocrit. In fact, the first thing we thought of when writing this question was "Water and oil" but that's why we wanted to first reflect the turbidity of water with sand, when you have a glass of water with sand.

You don't really know what percentage of sand there will be inside the glass, while if you wait for it to settle you will be able to notice with your eyes how far the sand reaches in the water. In this way, they learned their lesson with great enthusiasm.

There were a total of 29 participants. We feel strongly that Steemians must be active and post regularly to be winners.

Winners 🏆

Congratulations to all of you 29 gems. You all did your task very well. The good news is that you all can qualify for Certificate except one who got less than 6 points. At the end of the course, but don't forget, you all should complete our maximum tasks (At least 4 classes out of 6). A lot of appreciation for all of you 29 students. Wish you good luck for Week 3.

Here is the list of top 5 winners.
