We are here to present our summary for the 4th week of SEC20.
Firstly, we are very thankful to the Steemit Team, who honored us with this opportunity. Secondly, we are thankful to our students who attended our class enthusiastically. I'm sure they have learned a lot in the hematology course. The good thing is that we received 18 entries this week. This shows the enthusiasm of Steemians.
We hope you are enjoying our fifth week of class as well.
Our fourth class was about SEC S20W4 - Hematología - Anemias Etiopatogénicas - Módulo 4. In this course, students learned about Etiopathogenic Anemias in detail.
In this way, they have learned the basic definition of etiopathogenic anemias and try to related the concept of IPR with it. Mostly students couldn't relate it with IPR. But some students presented outclass. In this class, they also learned that the lack of vitamin B12 can suggest megaloblastic anemia, however the students tend to think that the type of aregenerative anemias are more dangerous, since they may be due to deformations or defects in the bone marrow.
Excellent, the students did a great job explaining and making the diagram, and they did it in a very creative way! And they came to learn that when complete maturation does not occur, we have an excess of immature red blood cells, better known as reticulocytes.
They did a great job mentioning the differences between each of these anemias, the Howell Jolly bodies are an important and very relevant detail in that classification. It's good that they mentioned IPR percentage. The most worrying aspect of both is the hypoproliferative aspect, since when a decrease is seen it could be the bone marrow itself having problems with reticulocyte production.
In the last question they were asked recommendation for emergency. They tried to mention each important part of bleeding in the emergency room, each home or clinic. That was the idea, that you can recommend tips that can be helpful to others. Some students couldn't understand what actually we want in this question.
There were a total of 18 participants. 17 entries were valid. 1 entry was invalid because he got only 2.5 marks. We feel strongly that Steemians must be active and post regularly to be winners. There are almost same students who are participating. As you all know we preferred quality content.
If Some users are winner in the last week, they can be winner in the week after week. But don't forget quality is always appreciated. When it's difficult to pick a winner , we go for those who are with us from the very start. Who are regularly attending our courses. Be attentive to attend most of the classes. Thank you in advance.
Congratulations to all of you 18 gems. You all did your task very well. The good news is that you all can qualify for Certificate except one who got only 2.5, At the end of the course, but don't forget, you all should complete our maximum tasks (At least 4 classes out of 6). A lot of appreciation for all of you 18 students. Wish you good luck for Week 5.
