Spindrift - Mango Ale

Here's a picture of the very first batch of Mango Ale that we ever brewed here at Spindrift, Mangalore. The beer is quite nostalgic to us Mangloreans as we have a lot of fond memories with both mangoes and the summer season.

What is the origin of this dish? It looks tasy AF. I'd love to wash it down with a Irish Stout. I think the two who complement each other very nicely.

Its a beer by itself.. a hybrid that we brewed in our brewery in a small coastal town in western India called Mangalore. The mango pieces and the leaves are kept around the beer just for novelty...

How's the mouth feel? Is it a heavier texture than most ales due to the fruit or do you filter?

Yup.. the texture is a bit heavier, the frothing is lesser due to the fruit fat..we do not filter it after fermentation..

Yup.. its been about 2 years since we opened our brewery, Spindrift and this is the 2nd time we've brewed it. We kind of made it our standard summer brew...
