If you already have an account, log in. If not, create a brand new and free account.
You do not need an NPO Plus account to watch the Summer Olympics, so there is no need to pay extra for such a feature. Now you have to go and find the live stream of NOS. But, if you are outside the Netherlands, you will probably see an error message looking something like one of these.

Both these error messages will tell you that you are unable to watch the Summer Olympics and other content on NOS online because you are outside the Netherlands. What can you do about it?
The easy solution!
It is quite easy to fix this. You will have to make the website of NOS believe that you are located in the Netherlands. If you use a VPN, you can easily get a Dutch IP address, which means that all websites will believe that you are located in the Netherlands. But, there is a problem.
