• Hello Steemians and Punk Fans

Gestern sind wir gegen 15 Uhr in Mülheim bei meiner Freundin los.
Ziel der Reise ist Oberhausen, zuerst was essen und dann zum PERSISTENS TOUR Festival in der Turbinenhalle.

• Yesterday we left my girlfriend's place in Mülheim around 3 pm.
  Destination of the trip is Oberhausen, first some food and then to the PERSISTENS TOUR Festival in the Turbinenhalle.

Aber von vorn.
Um 15 Uhr sind wir in die Straßenbahn nach Oberhausen gestiegen. Einmal in Mülheim umsteigen und gegen 15.30 Uhr waren wir in Oberhausen. Auf der Fahrt haben wir schon das erste Vorglüh Bier getrunken. Und das auf nüchternen Magen... Eyyy 😃

• But from the top.
  At 3 pm we took the tram to Oberhausen. Change once in Mülheim and around 3.30 pm we were in Oberhausen. On the ride we already drank the first Vorglüh beer. And that on an empty stomach... Eyyy 😃

In Oberhausen haben wir uns dann mit ein paar Freunden getroffen und waren erstmal ins Hotel Restaurant Haus Union um dort was zu essen und ein paar Bierchen dabei zu trinken.

• In Oberhausen we met some friends and went to the Hotel Restaurant Haus Union to eat something and drink a few beers.

Da angekommen erstmal alle ein Bierchen bestellt und dann anstoßen.
Die Kellnerin war sofort Feuer und Flamme und wollte wissen auf welches Konzert wir gehen und welche Bands da spielen. Und sie kannte doch auch tatsächlich die eine Band und hat gesagt das ihr Mann die hört. Da waren wir alle etwas überrascht.

• Arrived there, everybody ordered a beer and then toasted.
  The waitress was immediately hooked and wanted to know which concert we were going to and which bands were playing. And she actually knew one band and said that her husband listens to them. So we were all a bit surprised.

Im Restaurant waren schon mehrere Tische mit Leuten besetzt die auch alle aufs Konzert gehen und im Hotel wohl ein Zimmer haben.

• In the restaurant several tables were already occupied with people who all go to the concert and probably have a room in the hotel.

Das sieht man gleich an den Shirts der Menschen ob sie auf Festival gehen oder nicht. Die Punk und Hardcore Fans haben nämlich alle Shirts von ihren Bands an. So wie ich und mein Schatzi und auch unsere Freunde.

• You can see that right away on the shirts of the people whether they go to the festival or not. The punk and hardcore fans all have shirts from their bands on. Just like me and my sweetie and our friends.

Das erste Bier ist getrunken und das Essen noch nicht da, also gleich ein zweites Bier für alle... Wir sind ja auch nicht zum Spaß unterwegs.

Dann kam das Essen.
Für mich gab es ein leckeres Cordon Bleu mit Pommes-frites und Salat zum Preis von 12,80 Euro.

• Then came the food.
  For me there was a delicious cordon bleu with french fries and salad for 12,80 Euro.

Und für meine Freundin gab es 2 Spiegeleier mit gebratenem Speck und Bratkartoffeln und Krautsalat zum Preis von 7,80 Euro.

• And for my friend there were 2 fried eggs with fried bacon and fried potatoes and coleslaw for 7,80 Euro.

In meinem Essen war ein Haar...das war leider nicht so toll.
Aber ich habe nach kurzer Rücksprache mit det Kellnerin ein gratis Bier bekommen und somit haben wir dann natürlich alle noch ein Bier getrunken.

• There was a hair in my food... I'm afraid it wasn't that great.
  But after a short consultation with the waitress I got a free beer and so of course we all had a beer.

Nach dem dritten Bier haben wir dann noch schnell die Zeche bezahlt und dann rüber zum Festival. Noch schnell eine Zigarette und dann. Pünktlich gegen 17.20 Uhr in der Turbinenhalle.

• After the third beer we quickly paid the bill and then over to the festival. A quick cigarette and then. Punctually at 17.20 o'clock in the Turbine Hall.

Nach dem Betreten der Turbinenhalle sind wir dann gleich in die große Halle zur ersten Band.

• After entering the turbine hall we went straight into the big hall for the first band.

COUNTIME

Die Band Countime kommen aus Los Angeles, Californien und spielen Straight Hardcore
Die Band war für den Einstieg ein echtes Brett.
Harter Sound und harte Jungs. Nach 20 Minuten war Schluss.
Der Zeitplan wird auf dem Festival genau eingehalten.

• The band Countime are from Los Angeles, California and play straight hardcore
  The band was a real board for the start.
  Tough sound and tough guys. After 20 minutes it was over.
  The time schedule is strictly adhered to at the festival.

Nach der ersten Band sind wir erstmal raus eine rauchen und haben uns beim wieder rein kommen erstmal Getränke Marken geholt.
3 Marken für 3 Euro gleich 1 Bier.
Dann zu Bierstand noch schnell 2 Bier holen und zur nächsten Band.
Kann auch stressig sein so ein Festival. 😃

Die zweite Band war dann

• After the first band we went out for a smoke and got ourselves some drink brands when we came back in.
  3 brands for 3 Euro equal 1 beer.
  Then to the beer stand we got 2 beers and to the next band.
  It can be stressful at such a festival. 😃

CUTTHROAT

Die Band ist eine LA Hardcore Band wie zum Beispiel Madball und Biohazard. Sie haben teilweise Anzeichen von Rage Against The Machine gehabt. Das war auch sehr harter Sound und sehr gut. Die durften dann auch schon 30 Minuten spielen.

• The band is an LA hardcore band like Madball and Biohazard. They have had partial signs of Rage Against The Machine. That was also very hard sound and very good. They were allowed to play for 30 minutes.

Danach sind wir nochmal zu den Shirt Ständen der Bands, ich hätte mir gerne eine Sweat Jacke einer Band gekauft und mein Schatzi eine Mütze. Wir haben aber beide nicht das richtige gefunden.
Es ist 18.50 Uhr und schon wieder zur nächsten Band.

Jetzt spielt die sehr gute Band

WISDOM IN CHAINS

Die Band kommt aus Northeastern Pennsylvania und machen eine Mischung aus Hardcore und Punk, ein bisschen Oi und Metal.
Mit dieser Band wurde die Musik dann auch etwas abwechslungsreicher.

Ein sehr guter Auftritt der Jungs. Die kennen wir auch schon länger und hören wir auch sehr gerne.

Während dieser Band hatten wir noch weitere Freunde getroffen die über eine Band einen Gästeliste Ausweis hatten. Mit denen sind wir dann erstmal ein Bier trinken.
Mittlerweile waren wir auch schon gut angetrunken...evtl auch schon ein bisschen weiter 🙈

Danach kam dann gleich die nächste Band

• During this band we had met some more friends who had a guest list ID about a band. With them we went for a beer.
  In the meantime we were already well drunk...maybe a little bit further 🙈

Billy Bio

Die Band kommt aus Los Angeles und spielen auch LA Hardcore. Das war die frühere Band Biohazard.
Sehr gute Hardcore Band. Ein sehr gutes Konzert.

Danach mal wieder eine rauchen und wieder dem Zeitplan folgen und zur nächsten Band um 20.20 Uhr.

H2O

Die Band ist in den 90ern ja mal recht bekannt gewesen. Sie spielen eine Mischung aus Hardcore und Melodic Hardcore oder auch New-York-Hardcore.
Die alten Jungs geben Gas und es war ein super Auftritt.

H2O - it was a good day

Nach der Band waren wir etwas fertig und haben uns in der Halle hingesetzt. Unsere Freunde hatten wir mal wieder verloren. Es wurde jetzt aber auch richtig voll in der Halle.

• After the band we were a bit exhausted and sat down in the hall. We had lost our friends again. But now it became really crowded in the hall.

Dann kam um 21.05 Uhr die nächste Band

STREET DOGS

Die Street Dogs kommen aus Boston USA und spielen eine Mischung aus Punkrock und Folk-Punk. 2 Band Mitglieder waren früher bei den Dropkick Murphys, daher haben sie auch ihren Sound.

• The Street Dogs come from Boston USA and play a mixture of Punkrock and Folk-Punk. 2 band members used to be with the Dropkick Murphys, so they have their sound.

Mein Schatzi hat sich während der Band mal hingesetzt und ist für ne halbe Stunde eingeschlafen 😁. Dann bin ich bei ihr stehen geblieben und habe sie zur nächsten Band wieder wach gemacht. Ein kurzes Power Napping und alles ist gut 😃

Dann haben wir noch schnell neue Getränke gekauft und Schatzi bekam eine Cola und ich ein Bier und die nächste Band fing an.

• Then we quickly bought new drinks and Schatzi got a coke and I got a beer and the next band started.

Die Band ist eine Us amerikanische Hardcore Band und spielen eine Mischung aus Hardcore, Crossover und Oi.
Die Band finden wir beide super und mögen sie auch schon ewig und haben sie auch schon mehrfach live gesehen.
Sehr schöner Auftritt der Band.

GORILLA BISCUITS

Die Band ist eine Hardcore Band aus New York und spielen eine Mischung aus Hardcore und Melodic Hardcore.
Die Band hat 1989 das Album Start Today veröffentlicht und hat sich kurz danach aufgelöst. Seit ein paar Jahren spielt die Band ab und zu mal ein Konzert.

GORILLA BISCUITS - new direction

Gegen 24 Uhr war das Konzert zu Ende und wir beide betrunken.
Dann sind wir zur Haltestelle gefallen und mit der Straßenbahn und nach dem Umstieg mit dem Bus noch ne halbe Stunde nach Hause gefahren.

Zu Hause sind wir dann gleich ins Bett gefallen.

Es war ein wunderschönes Konzert und ein schöner Tag.

• Around midnight the concert was over and we were both drunk.
  Then we fell down to the stop and took the tram and after changing to the bus we went home for another half an hour.
  At home we fell straight into bed.
  It was a wonderful concert and a beautiful day.
