29 AND God gave Solomon wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore.
30 THUS SOLOMON'S WISDOM EXCELLED THE WISDOM OF ALL THE MEN OF THE EAST AND ALL THE WISDOM OF EGYPT.
31 FOR HE WAS WISER THAN ALL MEN—THAN ETHAN THE EZRAHITE, AND HEMAN, CHALCOL, AND DARDA, THE SONS OF MAHOL; and his fame was in all the surrounding nations. 32 He spoke three thousand proverbs, and his songs were one thousand and five.
33 Also he spoke of trees, from the cedar tree of Lebanon even to the hyssop that springs out of the wall; he spoke also of animals, of birds, of creeping things, and of fish.
34 AND MEN OF ALL NATIONS, FROM ALL THE KINGS OF THE EARTH WHO HAD HEARD OF HIS WISDOM, CAME TO HEAR THE WISDOM OF SOLOMON."
1 Kings 4:29-34 (NKJV)
• We want to consider some of the things that would provoke supernatural empowerment:
(i) The first and the foundation is the new birth, and that through faith in Christ Jesus (Romans 4:25; 10:9,10).
a. Accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour is the foundation of whatever anyone would be in the Kingdom (Revelation 3:20).
b. Being a part or a partaker of any benefit of the Kingdom of God on Earth, begins or starts with being a new creation in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17).
(ii) After the first step had been taken, you consecrate your life totally.
a. Live a life of unwavering commitment. Submitting your own Will to embrace His. Discarding your plans to embrace His. You should be humble enough to embrace or accept His Will, plans, and programmes for your life and Ministry (Psalm 40:8; John 4:34).
b. You lean not on your own understanding and Acknowledge Him in all you do (Proverbs 3:5,6).
c. Be faithful and loyal in the assignment given to you, and whatever God said to do (1 Corinthians 4:2).
d. Ascribing the glory and honour of every result gotten in the work you do in the Ministry to Him. He is the reason for the success (Hebrews 13:15).
(iii) Be consistent in your walking with God (1 Corinthians 15:58).
a. By being sensitive to His leadings, that is, walking in the spirit (Romans 8:14; Galatians 5:16,18).
b. Being prompt in obeying or doing whatever He instructed or commanded to do (Genesis 22:1-3).
(iv) You also provoke supernatural empowerment by giving the ownership of all you had to God. Let Him have the say-so on it (Matthew 19:20-22,29).
a. Be willing to sacrifice whatever He might be demanding for. You receive the grace to lay down, even whatever is precious to you—as He prompted you to give it, or specifically asked for it (1 Timothy 6:17-19).
- Jesus said:
17 THEREFORE MY FATHER LOVES ME, BECAUSE I LAY DOWN MY LIFE THAT I MAY TAKE IT AGAIN. 18 NO ONE TAKES IT FROM ME, BUT I LAY IT DOWN OF MYSELF. I HAVE POWER TO LAY IT DOWN, AND I HAVE POWER TO TAKE IT AGAIN. This command I have received from My Father" (John 10:17-18 NKJV). - This action of Jesus Christ gave Him a name, a place, above every other person:
5 LET this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 WHO, BEING IN THE FORM OF GOD, DID NOT CONSIDER IT ROBBERY TO BE EQUAL WITH GOD, 7 BUT MADE HIMSELF OF NO REPUTATION, TAKING THE FORM OF A BOND-SERVANT, AND COMING IN THE LIKENESS OF MEN. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, HE HUMBLED HIMSELF AND BECAME OBEDIENT TO THE POINT OF DEATH, EVEN THE DEATH OF THE CROSS. 9 THEREFORE God ALSO HAS HIGHLY EXALTED HIM AND GIVEN HIM THE NAME WHICH IS ABOVE EVERY NAME, 10 THAT AT THE NAME OF JESUS EVERY KNEE SHOULD BOW, OF those in HEAVEN, AND of those on EARTH, AND of those UNDER THE EARTH, 11 AND THAT EVERY TONGUE SHOULD CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD, TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER" (Philippians 2:5-11 NKJV). - When Jesus did lay down His life, He was given a name that is above every other name. If you would be supernaturally empowered, you must be willing to make Sacrifice, and hesitate not to lay down your life, or whatever is being demanded for by God—though what is demanded might be precious to you (Matthew 16:24).
- Willingness to lay down, your life, or whatever is precious to you, is one of the conditions to be qualified for supernatural empowerment (1 Kings 3:3-5).
(v) And being prayerful makes you a candidate for supernatural empowerment.
a. You pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
b. You pray more in the language of Holy Spirit. When you do that, the Bible says you are speaking mysteries, and you are communicating with God the Father (1 Corinthians 14:2; Jude 20).
c. One of the essences of the presence of the Holy Spirit on the inside of Believers is to help us in praying; Giving us the utterances to pray aright, According to the mind of the Father—God (Romans 8:26).
• Take note:
- God wants to empower you supernaturally, that all people would know that He is the One working in you and through you (1 Corinthians 1:26-29).
- To be empowered supernaturally for wisdom, knowledge, understanding, favour, wealth, power, or whatever; your trust in God should be absolute or total, and your faith in Him be steadfast and unswerving.
- How much you depend on Him determines the flow of the supernatural through your life, to bless others.
- Remember, you can depend on God, or allow Him to work through you, in one area of your life, whilst you would not in other areas. All depends on your decision or yieldance to Him as an individual Believer.
- Thus, to be empowered supernaturally, there must be Total in the dependence on Him. God does not want those who are His to live independently of Him.
- When you demonstrated your faith in Him, desiring to be empowered, or trusting in Him for grace, or the ability to do or perform in one area of your life; He will surely empower you to do what you could not have been able to do naturally, without His help, in such a thing.
a. Ask for the supernatural ability, the empowerment, on every area of your life.
b. Ask for supernatural wisdom, knowledge, understanding, favour, helps, skills, Abilities, the know-hows, and whatever, in all areas of your Life.
c. Ask Him, you will not be denied:
"IF ANY OF YOU LACKS WISDOM, LET HIM [her] ASK OF GOD, WHO GIVES TO ALL LIBERALLY AND WITHOUT REPROACH, AND IT WILL BE GIVEN TO HIM [her]" (James 1:5 (NKJV).
"IF you then, being evil, KNOW HOW TO GIVE GOOD GIFTS TO YOUR CHILDREN, HOW MUCH MORE WILL YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER GIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT TO THOSE WHO ASK HIM!”
Luke 11:13 (NKJV)
• Note in conclusion: for whatever you are empowered with to be perpetuated, always ascribe the glory of your results to God the Father (1 Corinthians 1:26-31).
- When you are praised or eulogized for the gift in you, tell them that God is the One doing it, He is the One working through you, you are just an instrument: 15 AND Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I have had a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. BUT I HAVE HEARD IT SAID OF YOU THAT YOU CAN UNDERSTAND A DREAM, TO INTERPRET IT.” 16 SO JOSEPH ANSWERED PHARAOH, SAYING, “IT IS NOT IN ME; GOD WILL GIVE PHARAOH AN ANSWER OF PEACE” (Genesis 41:16 NKJV).

• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. Ask that He will write your name in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).
- If you took the steps As highlighted above, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!
