Well the action from this weekends sixteenth round of the 2018 Monster Energy Supercross season did not disappoint! It was wall to wall action packed excitement from the gate drop in both classes. It's always good, from a fans perspective anyway, to see the points and the racing this close at the end of the season. I'm sure the riders would love a huge point gap at this point haha but that never produces a good race to watch.
Let's check out the highlights.

The 250 class had some awesome racing and it was edge of the seat stuff with Savatgy losing the lead and almost clashing with team mate Ciancirulo a few times before he and McElrath shot past and controlled the race from that point. It was a surprise to see plessenger so far back but again the red plate can feel heavy at times and it certainly has an effect when getting this close to the final.
The red plate curse seems to have spread across both groups this time as Anderson had a night he will want to put behind him. A crash in the first turn wrecked his front wheel ripping out spokes and forced him to take a pit stop to swap it out. This put him back massively in the race by about a lap and a half and his work was set out for him to limit the damage to his points lead. It's all to play for now and he will be very aware of Musquin closing that gap now with one race to go... It's gonna be one hell of a final in Vegas!
Let's see how the riders thought about the nights racing.
