SuperFighters is a fighting game that was first released on April 17, 2018. The main mechanic of the game involves the concept of "stamina" - in simple terms, it is an entity in the game which separates attacks into two categories: normal moves and special moves. Cancel-specific mechanics:
As was noted before, the tac-cancel is an important tool in achieving combos. But what exactly does it do? The tac-cancel itself varies slightly depending on which character you are playing as and whether you are attacking or defending, but the basic idea is that you perform an action (such as throwing a punch) and then immediately cancelling it with another action (in this case, ducking).

Since the first attack has not ended by the time of the second attack's initiation, no recovery time is lost between attacks - meaning that actions can be performed far more quickly than they normally would if performed individually. Tac-cancelling technically does not allow for infinite combos since eventually your opponent fall out of range for any further attacks, but it does mean that almost any combination of basic moves can be chained indefinitely without losing speed.
