My steemit account is worth more than $10,000 and I've just reached a reputation of 70 (thank you guys!!!!!!!!!!!).
I thought that could be a good moment to do some shopping.

The Marketing Victim
As mentioned in one of my last articles, a friend of mine calls me a "marketing victim".
He obviously does that for a reason. I'm terribly keen on sports brands. I totally love all that colorful surfing stuff. Wearing these things is like being on holidays all the time!
They should pay me for presenting these labels in my blog, don't you think? :-)

Like Christmas And Birthday All In One
We shouldn't need any fixed bank holidays or schedules in order to have a good time.
When life treats you well, then you should treat yourself accordingly. The rising steem price is definitely a gift, so I cashed out some money and rewarded myself for the past months of blogging.
It feels really good to know that the money you earn on this platform is able to have a positive impact on your real life's situation.
I still believe that this is THE selling proposition of the network - and I'm OK with eventually getting flagged by @schattenjaeger for that (circle jerk) statement :-D
Don't save everything for a special occasion. Being alive is that special occasion!

Just to anticipate a little detail: the new look was very well received by the other guys in the water. Yes I mean these hot surfers around me. Haha!

I've never been flirting that much in the water. The new dress is magical! :-)

I agree about living each day as a special day. Sure it's good to delay gratification and not spend every cent the day it hits your wallet. But there is a moderate path here; you can certainly cash out now and then, and reward yourself with something that makes you happy!
I am also around the 10K account value, both here and on VIVA (which you should definitely check out!) so I bought what makes me happy -- computer hardware! Just doubled the memory in this laptop. :-) Also bought clothes like you did, but nothing quite as sweet as what you got. No matter, the girlz flirt with me no matter what I wear. :P
One other thing I like to do when I am graced with extra profits is visit the Red Cross website and make an online donation. I think I'll do that right after I finish reading the posts in my Feed!

Looks like a beautiful day... But here in SoCal, surfers tend to stay out of the water for a few days after rain because they are concerned about possible sickness from runoff... Is that not a problem where you are?

Here in Southern California, when it rains there is a lot of "crud" that flows downhill and into the ocean. The ocean water is then contaminated for up to 72 hours with bacteria.
The "crud" in the runoff is a combination of animal and human waste, sometimes sewage, a wide variety of nasty things that have accumulated.
Part of the problem is, I think, that rain is so relatively rare around here that the nastiness collects and builds up on the land for many months, and so a lot of it washes into the sea.
I've used ionic / colloidal silver for many years as a remedy for that problem. :D

Ah, now I got it! No, we don't have problems like that at all. Probably it's because our islands are volcanic. So the surface is generally not covered with much organic material. It's rather dry and clean. Plus: the wind - which is blowing heavily here - takes off everything.
But interesting that you have to deal with challenges like that!

Mein Dad hat eine Chili- und Tomatensamen Produktions- und Exportfirma. Vor einem knappen Jahr bin ich mit eingestiegen. Davor hab ich 12 Jahre im Marketing gearbeitet - u.a. auch lange in München.
