Personal Protection

Back in April of 2011, I had submitted a comment on Jeff Berwick’s newsletter, https://dollarvigilante.com/ which turned into a string of emails back and forth along with writing a couple of short articles for his TDV newsletter on situational awareness and self-protection. Before that I had been on the web in forums and blogs since 1995 trying to awaken people to this crucial need for protective mindset and training and now was finally seeing it appear in more mainstream fashion.

As a child our family moved a lot and I saw many places, some so good, but many situations of isolated violence. We have seen crowd anger and violence throughout our history, but for me I awakened to it first in the early 1970’s at the violent gas station occurrences where I pumped gas (and this was a much more civil and orderly society). But now people do not care about people anymore, they only care about themselves… but just wait to see how ruthless they become when pressed up against a wall. As the financial system gets worse, we will see more and more of it… along with many variants you can count on including home invasion, muggings, kidnappings (yes third world style) and surging unrest and violence at key areas like ATM’s, Supermarkets and Gas Stations. Gerald Celente said it best- “When People have nothing left to loose, after they lost everything, they lose it”. He does have a way with words.

Anyway I contacted Jeff due to his outlook, experiences and especially his call for self-protection as a preparation for the future. (not reprinted here due to proprietary concerns on private interactions). Now that caught my attention as most financial commentators extrapolate on owning precious metals (and Bitcoin), have multiple passports, food, water and firearms, etc.. But really only two (that I know of) have made the comment/s about the possibility of hand to hand as well as the violence centers that will spring up (and indeed have in several places), as the current world situation continues it’s out of control spiral. These men were of course Jeff Berwick (https://steemit.com/@dollarvigilante ) and Gerald Celente.

Self-protection has many faces and demands and you must realize that each day we slip further into this financial Armageddon, the more vital it is to research and prepare with more than tangible stores of food, water, medical and hygienic goods (to name just a few). You must also harden your intellect, spirit, mind and body for what is to come… it all starts with the mind, you must be ready and willing to look yet another step forward. We do not always have the ability to escape or hide, and sometimes believe it or not you can’t get to your knife or firearm before you have been set upon. In fact you need to be all in the game or you will lose it, never rely on one answer or plan.

So I am about to do a 180 on my blog here on Steemit, instead of only trying to help people help others (with health issues as these will become more sought after, when the crisis really gets going and even aspirins are no longer available due to shortages, financial restrictions or our “representative” government forbids it, (they also could do with travel, firearms, possession, etc.). I will now be posting more on self and family protection, strategy, tactics and combatives. These are my thoughts, observations, experiences and training for the past 40+ years with civilians, professionals, law enforcement, security, military training and other agencies of many countries.

Kyusho translates as Vital Points, the vital point of life is it’s preservation.
