5 long lasting storage items for barter and trade

in survival •  7 years ago

I ran a blog on Blogspot (boy is that old!) called Survival-list which languished when I had no time to keep it up. I read a lot about prepping and bushcraft and watched uncounted videos on Youtube and this is a short list I came up with.

1- Honey. Raw honey has many uses that are medicinal as well as yummy. A hot tea with honey can help any situation! It may crystallize but it never goes bad.

2- Salt. Many uses for food storage and medical for saline solution making. It just has to stay dry and you are good to go.

3- Baking Soda. Again many uses and you have to keep it dry.

4- Vinegar. Used in cleaning and food.

5- Alcohol. Once it is distilled it never goes bad and is supposed to get better with age.

Okay, that is my down and dirty 5 items to have for barter.

There is one item that is not long lasting that I would include and that is cannabis ,either in the form of seeds, buds,RSO or medibles.
