German city with amazing upside down railway

Today's funicular seems like an anachronism - a 19th century vision of what the future of transportation would look like. By 2022, we'll all be working on the Upside Down Railway!
Unlike boring regular railway tracks that remain insistently fixed to solid ground, a funicular hangs on a track suspended from pylons. Their cars float over roads, rivers and other obstacles, while passengers enjoy the view.
Ironically, the idea never really took off despite some successful but short-lived projects such as the Braniff Jetrail Fastpark System which moved passengers from a parking lot to the Dallas Love Field terminal for four years before the airport closed. airport in 1974.
