This is an article on the collection of my 17 abstract paintings that depict joys and sorrows of my soul through a variety of colors hues, shadows, forms and textures.

I wanted to paint the moments of joys and sorrows that are experienced by my soul through abstract paintings, a medium of art which is very much apt for such spiritual expressions.

In these collection of digital paintings, I have tried to catch various moments experienced by my soul or consciousness or inner self, and expressed those moments through variety of color hues, forms and textures.

In some paintings, I have caught dark and heavy moments that my soul has experienced. In some other paintings, I have painted the storms and troubles experienced by my soul.

Sometimes, my soul is in utter peace and lightness and this is expressed in greenish, bluish and whitish hues that are delivered with brightness and brilliance.

However, my soul, depicted as a meditating human form in these paintings, is accepting all these heavy, dark and stormy moments as well as joyful, peaceful and lighter moments, without coming out or running away from its meditative state.

And so, these meditative paintings are created and delivered in one theme: “Shadows of the Inner Self: Portraits of my Soul”.

In these paintings, I have tried to paint my own self or soul with its painful/blissful moments that are experienced as a spiritual seeker under the Heartfulness Way, under the direct guidance of my beloved Master Daaji Maharaj, and under the divine guidance of these great spiritual Masters, Lalaji Maharaj, Babuji Maharaj and Chariji Maharaj.

I submit all these paintings to the divine feet of these monumental Masters who work tirelessly for the benefit of humans as well as plants and animals and who are living their lives amidst uncountable pains and struggles.

My idea is to make full use of these modern art form, for speedy spiritual growth of myself and my readers who can feel and enjoy a kind of inner rhythm emanated from these paintings through various color hues,  mysterious forms and stunning textures.

Here, I wish to express my sincere thanks to my painting masters, Mr. Manogaran, a professor of Fine Arts College in Kumbakonam, then principal of that college and a famous modern painter Mr. Baskaran and Mr. Kallandhiri Murugesan, another modern artist from Madurai.

I express my hearty gratitude to my literary guru and a great Tamil literary writer, Mr. Thanjai Prakash, who is no more now. I have learned a lot from him regarding world literature for about 10 years. I have taken this training in painting only due his sincere guidance.

All my paintings have been published in my blog sites https://paintingsofswaran.blogspot.com/ and https://paintingsofswaran.tumblr.com/ and also in Google+ and Facebook.

I request my readers fellow spiritual seekers to enjoy these paintings with their hearts, and not merely with their heads, in order to immerse in them, by contemplating on these holistic paintings that have been created with unique forms, refreshing color schemes and stunning textures.

I wish to express my hearty thanks to my blog readers and my friends in Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Steemit and Google Plus.

I also express my sincere thanks to my friends who still remain outside the net of social media and the internet.
