BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:30 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army resumed their offensive operations in the eastern suburbs of Damascus, Sunday, striking the Islamist rebel defenses at both Jobar and ‘Ayn Tarma.

Utilizing heavy artillery and rockets, the Syrian Arab Army unleashed a vicious attack that was later followed by their 105th Brigade’s assault on the ‘Ayn Tarma Triangle.

According to a military source in Damascus, the Syrian Arab Army has successfully reached the center of the ‘Ayn Tarma Triangle after a series of clashes this morning with the Islamist rebels of Faylaq Al-Rahman.

In addition to this advance, the source added that the attack is coming from four different axes and that the Syrian Arab Army has killed at least 20 militants, while also destroying two pick-up trucks that are fitted with 23mm anti-aircraft machine guns.

The Syrian Army is now attempting to secure the northern part of the ‘Ayn Tarma Triangle in order to cutoff Faylaq Al-Rahman’s supply route in this suburb.
