The size of men and women has not increased in 30 years, according to a study by the Institute for Biomedical Research and Epidemiology of Sport.
The Physician's Daily releases today the results of a study indicating that human biological limits will no longer grow, or very little.
The Institute for Biomedical Research and Epidemiology of Sport (Irmes) indicates that, of course, women gained just over 8 centimeters between 1896 and 1996, and men nearly 9 centimeters. But these average sizes have not seen any increase in the last thirty years.

And the age of death could also have reached its limit. According to the researchers, Jeanne Calment with her record of more than 122 years "was certainly close to the potential biological limit of our species in terms of longevity".
This double ceiling, probably followed by a downward slope, is due to the cumulative effects of global warming, the scarcity of resources and the acidification of the oceans. In the twentieth century, medical, technological and social advances had allowed age and size to grow.
