1st reading of the New Year

Happy Full Moon/2018 Steemit!

Today I'm doing on reading on how to find whatever it is that we're looking for in 2018.
Whether it's money, love, sex, adventure, cookies or whatever... this is what to keep in mind to find it.

Our root card is the 4 of Pentacles.

This card haunted me in the last half of 2017, and here it is again.
It really says 'Don't be afraid to let go of what you have.'
It definitely speaks of simplification, and for me now, it means I have to take a trip to the Salvation Army with anything I don't need and use all the time.
I've definitely planned to do this for some time, but I don't have a car and there are no donation boxes near me.
It is time to quit fucking around and clear my space.

The true reason for this card is that we won't have room for what we want when we're holding on to so much stuff.(spiritually, emotionally, and physically) Let go so you can move forward.

For the rest of the reading, we have the 6 of Wands, the 8 of Pentacles, and The Page of Wands.

The 6 of Wands is great, and it says to pay attention to those who recognize us. Compliments, praise, adoration and so on, are shown in this card. The great thing about that, is that it should be noticeable.
Focus on the ones who like you!
This translates pretty clearly for all of us on Steemit. Be good to the ones who like you:)

The 8 of Pentacles is about burying yourself in your work and producing whatever it is that you produce. For me, it's songs and tarot readings... keep cranking them out, and keep taking pride in your work.
At the end of the day, the craftsman has all of the pentacles to show for what he did that day, and it fills him with pride and satisfaction.
I definitely feel like this when I look at the songs I've written for the songwriter's challenge.

The last card is the Page of Wands.
The Page is a card of optimism, and unusual creativity. The Page HAS to believe in themself, even though their method of doing things is not at all 'normal.'
Here, the Page has to cross the icy pond and uses stilts to do it. As long as the Page doesn't listen to the haters, he is fine. If he listens to those that say his method is stupid, he might fall.

Know what works for you and believe in yourself, especially if what you do is unorthodox.
