Happy New Moon Steemit!
Today, as happens every 6-8 months, I got a new copy of The Deviant Moon Tarot.
This deck sees heavy use, and constant travel, so they get beat up fairly quickly.
My King of Swords in particular was showing wear.

The front is actually not too bad, just worn on the edges, but there came to be a little tear on the back.
It can be troublesome for me to be able to tell which card it is by looking at the back.
After I got the new deck, I was lucky enough to see one of my tarot reading friends at the coffee shop. I traded him my old deck for a reading:)
When I got home, I had to put the new cards through their paces, so I did a general reading for the week.
The message here is pretty simple.
Now is the time to unlock your potential, and make sure your ideas are becoming material.(Ace of Pentacles)
You will be tested, and you will have to control your anger and emotions.(Strength)
Also, your ideas becoming real will require endurance and application.
This will allow you to leave the bullshit behind.(8 of Cups)
The 8 of Cups also indicates that the struggle in the Strength card will ultimately be conquered by letting go.

TBH, I've never given up one of my old decks! Call me sentimental!! lol
I like this reading for now. I find it interesting about what the Ace is telling us about the inversion of two energies that needed to condense in a way that makes sense so that a harvest is imminent in that inception energy of the Ace.
Isn't it cool, how the 8 and 11 of Strength has been reverse implicated in various decks? I found that to be a striking feature of this reading with an 11 Strength being followed by an 8, when in some decks that Strength is an 8.
There's something to be stated for the cosmic justice that is derived from double magick seeded in pure consciousness that allows for that walking away to feel not only like walking away from B.S., but a complete return to self in an emotionally healing way.

Oh my, that is a lovely deck! I might have to get one at some point.
I've used the Dark Grimoire Tarot a fair bit, but those images can be a little disturbing for some people. This deck is sort of creepy and dark in a comic book sort of way, but playful with it.
Nice reading too, definitely some gentle reminders in there for me.
