Tarot Tuesday

Welcome back again folks for another message, dictated by the universe and passed through my own intuition. This isn't a pick a path (or card) type of reading, for those of us who need to affirm our agency. Just know that you can take what you will, and put the good bits in your pocket. You're an intrepid traveler with each new moment to look forward to, or to just be in - unashamedly open and free. I - The Magician, Queen of Pentacles, Queen of Rods

There is a rich warmth emanating from this spread, just like the color palette of the cards themselves! The abundance of yellow certainly bodes well for invigorating solar energies and the self assertion that comes from manipura chakra - the solar plexus energy centre.

She's Back

We've got a returning guest with the queen of rods/wands, she's a magnetic personality that is sure to entice. Both feminine and masculine, but also non-normative and non-linearized beings can have this property. On the material plane it is more or less interpreted as being 'sexy', because it's about someone or something we find compelling and appealing. I've got ahead of myself though, and talked about the last thing first. Let's take it back a step and start at the beginning.

The Home of Abundance

As lovely as the queen of wands is, it's the queen of pentacles with the centre card placement. She's lovely, and generous, and great at cooking. The queen of pentacles is a mother to us all, and with the recent surges of energy I think we can all appreciate this nurtured feeling inside our hearts. She takes care of you, and shares out the pleasures of this abundant world. Let's take a moment to recognize the beauty that we partake in daily, it's truly astounding.

This queen is into manifesting abundance, and she certainly has the knack this week with the energy of the magician infused into her being. The magician as an archertype encourages us to go and make things happen by being there, doing things, and being dynamic. The ultimate synergy of our involvement with life is a kind of effortless application of our abilities. Things seem to come at the right time, and we intuitively put the pieces into play. We know what needs to be done, we make it happen. Life is magic, you are magic. So listen up and get involved.

The queen of pentacles encourages us to apply ourselves in practical ways. The double queen energy suggests relationships are incredibly important right now, get out there and show your people some love. Listen and make space, inspire when necessary. Let your presence do the talking.

This week is a lot about personalities, it's about being with people that fire you up and give you what you need. You know who they are, now go and be with your tribe and give them love. If you don't have a tribe, then know that you carry that tribe in your heart forever and always. That's the fundamental thing, your own eminence and warmth is the only magnetism you need to navigate this world. Our ancestors are with us, the star people, the gods, the great ascended masters, your future self. Whatever it is you need to know that there is a presence which is a part of you. Feel the warmth of belonging and know that the journey only seems cold through the separation of the mind.

Expect some sexy magic, it might just be a feeling. It might just be those eyes from that one moment from that person you never see ever again. It's not about the result, it's not about the story. It's about the feeling and it's about the moment. Enjoy it and be it.

Expect to be as charismatic as anything, even if that's in your own awkward way - I bet some people find it really endearing. Personally I will take unpolished honesty over pretense any day. That's what we call cute.

These two queens don't tend to beat around the bush, especially with magic flowing at their fingertips. Be bold my loves. With the abundant solar golden energy, we feel a sense of certainty about our lives and our purpose. We know who we are and what we came here to do, so let's relax into that a little and warm up to it. There's absolutely no need to manipulate anything, just be honest and kind and things will pan out quite perfectly.

Pentacles and Rods equates to earth and fire, and being queens there's a strong link to the home and the hearth. It's a pretty special feeling being around a fire with your loved ones, or even by yourself. Alone as everything, and filled with emptiness.

It's an awesome time for Manifestation this week, so think about what you really want for you life. And then forget all about it and relax into the feeling that you would have, had those things already manifested. This is the real trick, and I think the queen of pentacles' persistent nurturance will help us find the right 'tone'. With that resonance established, the fire merely needs to be lit - so take a moment for your prayers and gratitude. Take a second to bless a stranger.

Enjoy beauty in all it's aspects, the earthy women in my life have always loved flowers, food, coffee, chocolate, and hugs. In the northern hemisphere where many of my readers reside, this is evident each day in the magnificent unfolding of life, and the simple warmth of the sun. Here in New Zealand it's mid winter, which gives us a different metaphor of home and hearth. Keep the fire burning in any way necessary, take a bath or have a cup of hot Rooibos tea. You are your own queen this week, you deserve the finest. It's not really about having fine things though, there are stories of the Buddha that tell of how he made kings look like beggars in contrast to his presence. Embodiment is true wealth, and expansive energy is true luxury.

On the simplest level the body as vessel carries the holy flame, the subtle magic is not ours to keep it's a force that chooses us as the medium of expression. Don't tell me you've never imagined yourself as a wizard or a jedi? It's quite true even if you haven't perceived all of the complex subtleties, it's true in a basic way for every human being.

It's time to spread that fire my friend. It's time to be the spontaneous magic which keeps everything feeling quite alright.
