Introductory Tarot Course by Christie's Tarot- Week 4- THE HIGH PRIESTESS! #tarottuesday

So here is my Tuesday effort. This is longer than my normal Tarot posts as it hosts a week worth of Tarot teachings...so grab a cuppa and get comfortable.

The High Priestess Introduction

This week we are going to get to grips with the High Priestess .Today we are going to look at the basics of what the High Priestess means in her upright position, on her own. Let's start with some key words:

• Morality
• Independance
• Activist
• Self-righteous
• Awakening
• Stubborness
• Passionate

The High Priestess is number 2 in the deck and a strong woman she is. She represents strength of character, and a goal.  

One thing that is for sure, is that the High Priestess is a force to be reckoned with. If she agrees with you she will be your saviour, and if she doesn't, then she will fight with every breath to get her message across.

As guidance

If High Priestess comes in your guidance cards, be reassured that your inner strength is at it's peak. Focus on that to become more spiritually aware and trust your gut instinct.

In reverse

I don't personally reverse cards as you will now now, however if the High Priestess is in reverse, it may mean instability in mind, indecision, or a lack of faith.

The High Priestess In Art

 To really get to grips with the High Priestess, I recommend you draw her. Now, I am no artist but I drew this picture on the paint program and I am so glad I did. 

It captures everything I imagine about the High Priestess. She is up in the clouds with her wings in place, reflecting her higher self. She has a sharp haircut that matches her sharpness in thought and has a weapon to show she is ready for battle. Her womanly figure and red lips show that she is every bit a strong feminine woman to not be underestimated.

TIMINGS- Best used to compliment a suit card

The High Priestess can be used to define a 'loose' timing, but I have managed to narrow it down to a month, for the following reasons.

The high priestess is number '2' in the deck as in numerolgy, 2 is the full number off 11, the most spiritual number in numerology. She is also a sharp personality and has a crisp exterior like a sword card and represents winter and follows the magician, January. Not all cards follow the monthly order BUT the High Priestess does reflect on decisions made, like the magician.

Finally it adds up to a number of things associated with  so be specific in your questions. It could be 2 weeks, two months or two years. But if you are looking for months...Try February as a guideline.

The High Priestess in love, business, home & money

Today we are going to be looking at a few examples of The High Priestess in situations. Normally people will have a question, such as 'Is my lover sincere?', 'will I get a promotion?' or 'will I earn enough money to go on a cruise?' It is poppycock to suggest that you cannot answer yes or no questions with the tarot. 

Just because they don't give a 'yes' or 'no', does not mean you cannot translate it. Examples of course, but I am going to use, 'Will I get a promotion?' as the first example question.

The question is asked and the High Priestess is turned. Will I get a promotion? Remember, from earlier, the key words of the High Priestess. Just to refresh, here are three that I feel are relevant to the career question.

KEYWORDS...

The answer to your question is likely to be NO. This is because the High Priestess is in reflection, and strengthening her mind to prefer for another challenge.

Is my lover sincere?

• Spiritual
• Moral
• Passionate

Yes. The High Priestess will not have problems with showing her sincerity and emotions. With someone who is respectful of values, it is unlikely to be insincere.

'Will I be moving house?'

KEYWORDS...

• Inner Strength
• Wisdom
• Activist

No. It is probable that this would mean determination to find somewhere else, or looking at other options.

Will I be bringing in more money?'

KEY WORDS...

• Determination
• Independence
• Stubborness

YES...but it may take a while longer. The High Priestess does not give up. This shows that you will work hard to make money, but it will take time.
