The rainy season started in Thailand and I’m full of work! However, instead of staying on the home office waiting for my laziness to come and grab me, better call some friends and work in a cafe.
Chiang Mai is the city of digital nomads in this world. So, it’s not hard to find nice cafes to plug your laptop and get the things done! Today I choose to come to Ombra Cafe with a friend that also works online!

Ombra Cafe is one of my favorite places to work on Chiang Mai. It’s a cozy cafe, surrounded by plants and a nice atmosphere. I love the decoration and you have big tables where you can share with more people! I always meet new digital nomads there.
The prices are super affordable and they have some pastries, sandwiches and healthy bowls in case you’re hungry. I believe it’s more a place to enjoy some coffee and spend some time with friends.
I’ve been developing the habit of journaling, so it’s also one of the favorite places to put my ideas and feelings on the paper.
The coffee is delicious, they offer some Thai sweets for free and they have THE BEST Thai tea in Thailand! Thai tea, if you’re not familiar with, is a strongly brewed Ceylon Tea which ingredients include also orange blossom water, star anise and grounded tamarind seeds. It’s served with evaporated milk and condensed milk and I’m simply crazy for it! I fall in love with Thai tea since I tried this in Thailand. It has a beautiful orange color, so I was caught first for the appearance and then for the taste!
The coffee is also a must of this place! They have the perfect Americano in my opinion!
To have a nice working day with friends, get the things done or simply chatting over coffee Ombra Cafe is one of my favorites!
