Hello Steemians and Tasteemians
Look what we have on our menu today. This looks yummy right?
Today I made porridge plantain and am gonna be showing you easy steps to making that possible; I mean step by step procedure in preparing your porridge plantain

Step By Step Preparation

  • OK! Let's go! We will have to start with this; getting your bundle or bunch of plantain either from your farmyard or market...wherever but get the plantain

  • Then when you have your bunch of plantain, you piece or cut them off the stem, leaving them single single

  • Then you start peeling the plantain, separate the plantain peels from the body of the plantain; the body is kinda yellowish in colour

  • After peeling you soak the plantain in water and wash scrubbing out the outer surface of the plantain with your kitchen knife to get a smoother surface.

  • It's high time you slice and cut your plantain in piece, remember we are making porridge plantain, so you need to cut your plantain in smaller and tiny sizes.

  • When you are done with the slicing and cutting, you set up your gas cooker and boil water in a cooking pot

  • When the boiling water gets hot, you pour in your sliced plantain into the hot water cooking pot.

  • After that, you prepare and set up your cooking ingredients, fish, crayfish, Maggi, onions, salt, pepper etc.

  • When the plantain in the hot water boil at moderate temperature, you put your ingredients one after the other and leave to boil and be well cooked and done

Note: when adding other food ingredients, you don't add salt just yet, salt comes last..why? This is to prevent the plantain from hardening and becoming strong when eaten.
So after all the ingredients is added one after other and leave to boil for some time, you now add the salt at last.

  • In the process of waiting for your porridge plantain to be well cooked, you wash and slice your vegetables for the porridge plantain.

  • When you are done with slicing the vegetables, you pour it into the boiling porridge on the cooking pot.

  • Then you wait for some times for the vegetable to be done in the porridge.

  • After which you pour in your cooking oil; palm fruit oil to be precise: red in colour and wait for it to mix well

  • Just after that, get ready because our porridge plantain will soon be done.
Yeah we are done with everything necessary for preparing our porridge plantain.

Now our yummy looking menu for today is done;

Porridge Plantain

Hope the process was easy enough
And I hope you followed up the procedures in making your porridge plantain.

Will bring another menu your way next time.
