Pyrland Park, Kingston Road - its National Trust but designated for housing by TDBC
A long time ago I was born and raised on a dairy farm in Pickney, its just past Nailsbourne. In my twenties I had a small sheep farm on Exmoor before returning to University and gaining a degree in the Anthropology of Religion. I then emigrated to Australia where I had a temp job with the Rainforest Action Group (RAG) for several months as their magazine editor. Before moving to Brisbane where I ran a software company during the dot com boom years. I was also active in the Queensland Greens. .
Returning to Blighty in the new millenium I kept a flying flock of 200 Wiltshire Horn until recently retiring. I live in Bishops Lydeard where I campaigned against the adoption of our Neighbourhood Plan because it advocated building 200 houses on a green field – contrary to the wishes of many in the village. Adoption of the Neighbourhood Plan also entailed the Parish Council being in line to receive £625,000 as a development bonus. The councillors repeatedly denied the existence of this bonus until I finally forced an admission two days before the village voted.
Its my conviction that the village was scammed by the pro-development lobby and I still feel pretty strongly about that.
How strongly? I'm as mad as hell!I joined UKIP because I am a keen supporter of Nigel Farage. But I'm standing in this election as an Independent so I am able to speak my mind free of UKIP's strictures.

In the French Presidential election I'm rooting for M. Philippe Poutou of the New Anti-capitalist party because I like his bluntness:
