Minnesota is the least tax friendly state in the entire US. Before everyone starts to blame the DFL for this one, it should be noted that the GOP actually messed this one up big time
"I'm sure many of you will hear your Republican legislator discuss how this is Dayton's fault, but I assure you, they are just as much to blame on this one. Our state faced a $1.65 Billion surplus and Republicans couldn't find away to give even half of it back to taxpayers. Kurt Daudt and Paul Gazelka, since taking control of the Legislature, have never proposed eliminating the top marginal tax rate that Democrats created in 2013. They also haven't put forward policies to eliminate the estate tax or social security tax immediately. On the flip side, they grew government spending by 10% and our state debt by $2.5 Billion. Being ranked the least friendly tax state is a complete embarrassment as is proof that we need to remove these big gov't Republicans from office, stand up to the DFL and make Minnesota a better state to do business."
