My friend brought a few decks of Dragon Ball Super for us to try out. The game is an interesting mix of Pokemon and Magic. Here are my impressions:

- Series is relatively new and welcoming
- Artwork is great
- Lots of unique abilities on cards
- Pulling mana is a non-issue

- Feels strange to use any card, including characters, as energy
- First turn seems to have serious advantage
- Don't like using cards as health system, creates more chance
- Not sure why, but feels more like a "magic clone" than true dbz game
