Hello Steemians!
This past few days, I got busy preparing for our Teacher’s Nite which was held in Mactan gym yesterday. But today, I will share to you what happened last Thursday together with my students.
All Grade 10 were having a stage play on that day, and as a class adviser /second mother, I have to do my responsibilities and extend my helping hands to them not just in academic. And to show my support, care, and love for them, I volunteered myself to be their make-up artists even if I am not good at it. I used my personal make-up kit to be able to help them and that was my first experience which turns into happiness and satisfaction after the play.
These are my lovely girls and handsome boys in Grade X - Emerald advisory class. Some of them were just inside the classroom.
These are some of the photos taken by my student.
Honestly speaking, I really don’t know how to put make-up on their face but I tried my best to show that I care for them. I only applied foundation, eyebrow, curl the eyelashes with mascara, put a little bit of eyeshadow and blush on, and lastly, lipstick. It is just a simple, but I did it heartily.
Why do I felt HAPPY?
I felt happy at that time knowing I did something to help them in their stage play activity. And I am not the only one who were happy but most of all, my students who felt loved. They were thankful that I supported and gave effort for them.
These are some of the photos after applying a simple make-up and they will be presenting ”Beauty and the Beast”
The most important thing that I admired most in my advisory class is that they have the unity and oneness, they care for each other, and willing to help if ever one of them fails or struggling.
Before the play started, they prayed together hoping they will be successful in their activity and all of them said,”Let’s do our best! We may not win, but at least we showed the best that we can.”. With that statement, I am proud to be part of their journey.
These are the photos during the activity and I am proud with their performance. They are not just great students but also talented and performers on stage.
Why do I felt SATISFACTION?
After all the performances of grade 10, all their efforts were paid. They got the 5th rank out of the 14 presentors and I also felt satisfied and proud knowing that it was successful and got unexpected rank among the presentors. They may not get the highest rank but they have the heart with it that makes them more admirable.
And that was my story on that day. And when I went home I have these adorable kiddos who made me laugh and take out the stress from wok.
Verse of the day:
”And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.”
Colossians 3:23
